Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY?

This type of OT looks to increase or enhance the quality of the child’s life and occupations. A child’s most important occupation is play! This is where they can freely act out in real-life situations, and engage in social problem-solving. During play, children use a variety of fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual motor, and social skills.

The role of Soulbrite OT is to allow deep exploration in the natural environment while participating in skilled intervention services to increase this sense of connection, inner safety, and exploration of the natural world.

WHERE WILL SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

Nature-based sessions will take place on the StarHouse land located in Sunshine Canyon, Boulder, CO. In situations where there may be accessibility needs (wheelchairs) we’ll meet at Boulder creek park. In certain situations, therapy may take place at your home.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

Rain or shine, snow or mud, we will appreciate what nature gives us as part of the therapeutic and sensory process. In the case that the weather is extreme we will cancel or move the session indoors.
